Dear Families,
It's never a quiet week at JKPS and this week has been no exception. We have had several excursions, with Year 1's heading off to the Transport Museum on Tuesday, Years 3 and 4 visiting Dulwich Picture Gallery on Wednesday and Thursday, and Year 4 visiting the Maritime Museum on Wednesday. What a treat it is to have so many brilliant places to visit 'on our doorstep'. And thank you to all those parent/carer volunteers who give up their time to support the trips. Thank you too for your contributions, without which these trips wouldn't be possible.
The start to the day has certainly felt much smoother with our earlier time for opening the gates at 8:35am. Thank you for continuing to do all you can to get your child into school by 8:50am - it makes all the difference having a prompt start to learning.
Some of you spotted in the Guardian last week that illustrator Axel Scheffler has recently collaborated with the Goethe Institut to create an exercise book/scheme designed to encourage more German learners. We were extremely grateful to be gifted copies of the book by the Goethe Institut - Vielen Dank! - and the Year 1's and 2's have been loving the book as part of their Wednesday session, speakers and learners alike.
Schönes Wochenende
Patrick
